Why TLC exists

Skin doesn't stay the same. Your skincare shouldn't either.

Your skin is not the skin you had ten years ago. It isn't even the skin you had last winter. Hormones, age, stress, medication, and weather all move it — sometimes slowly, sometimes overnight.

The retail industry sells a fixed answer to a moving target: one product line, one routine, one promise, no matter whose face it lands on. That's why the drawer of half-used products never quite worked.

Professional corrective treatment starts somewhere else — with an honest read on where your skin actually is today, and a plan that meets it there. That is the whole mission.

Signature treatments

Three ways to change your skin.

My TLC Facial

This is where almost every client begins. Before deciding which advanced treatments are right for you, I like to get to know your skin and understand what it’s been dealing with. Your facial is completely customized using professional products and techniques designed to deeply cleanse, gently exfoliate, nourish, and restore your skin’s natural balance. You’ll leave with healthier, glowing skin and a personalized plan to help you achieve your long-term skincare goals.

Cold Plasma & Plasma Channeling Facial

Advanced plasma technology for healthier, firmer, more radiant skin.

Two plasma technologies, combined in one facial and customized customized to your skin’s unique needs. Plasma Channeling uses a precision triangular tip to create microscopic channels that stimulate collagen production while enhancing the absorption of professional corrective serums for smoother, firmer, healthier-looking skin.

Cold Plasma uses a specialized circular tip to generate ozone, helping to purify and revitalize the skin, calm visible redness, support collagen production, and enhance the penetration of professional skincare products with little to no downtime.

Whether your goal is improving skin texture, boosting collagen, enhancing your skincare results, or achieving a healthier, more youthful complexion, this facial offers a gentle yet effective approach to long-term skin health.

Procell Microchanneling

Transform your skin…or restore your hair.

Using advanced microchanneling technology, Procell creates thousands of precise microchannels that stimulate your body’s natural healing response while delivering professional growth factor serums where they’re needed most. Treatments can be customized for the face and neck to improve fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation, enlarged pores, and overall skin texture, for the body to improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks, or for the scalp to support healthier-looking, fuller hair by encouraging an optimal environment for hair rejuvenation.

With little downtime and a series of treatments, Procell helps reveal smoother, firmer, healthier-looking skin and revitalized hair from the inside out.

Corrective, not cosmetic.

Clinical-grade actives. Clean formulations.

Twenty-five+ years of judgment behind every choice.

The specialty

Perimenopause, menopause, and the skin nobody prepared you for.

It starts quietly. Skin that ran oily for forty years turns suddenly dry. Breakouts arrive after decades without them. The firmness along the jaw softens, tone goes uneven, sensitivity appears out of nowhere — and the products that always worked simply stop working.

None of that is a personal failure, and none of it is imaginary. It's hormonal. Estrogen supports collagen, oil production, and moisture retention, and when it shifts, skin shifts with it. It responds to the right professional approach — and it's the work Lori knows best.

About Lori

Twenty-five+ years, thousands of faces, one philosophy.

For over twenty-six years, I’ve been helping people care for their skin. If there’s one thing those years have taught me, it’s this: your skin is always trying to tell you something. My job is to slow down long enough to listen.

When I first became an esthetician, I believed the right products and a great facial could solve almost every skin concern. While those things absolutely matter, I’ve learned they aren’t the whole story.

Our skin is deeply connected to what’s happening inside our bodies. Hormones, stress, nutrition, inflammation, medications, sleep, and lifestyle all influence how our skin behaves. That’s why I don’t believe in treating symptoms alone. I believe in looking at the bigger picture.

Today, every treatment begins with understanding you. Sometimes that’s a customized facial. Sometimes it’s microchanneling, plasma technology, corrective treatments, or a simple change in your home care. My goal isn’t just to help your skin look healthier today. It’s to help it become healthier over time.

I’ve never met a skin problem that didn’t have a reason behind it. My passion is helping you discover what that reason might be.

A first appointment with me is simple. We talk. I look at your skin — really look — and tell you the truth about what I see. Then we build a plan. No pressure, no scare tactics. An honest read and a way forward.

Where clients come from

One studio in Greenwood. Clients from all over the south side.

The studio is a single room on North Madison Avenue in Greenwood, a few minutes off I-65 at Main Street, with parking at the door. One client at a time, which is why people are willing to drive for it.

Most come from Greenwood and Center Grove. A good number drive up from Franklin, Whiteland, and Bargersville, or down from the south side of Indianapolis, Southport, and Beech Grove — usually because they have had enough of rooms where a facial is run on a stopwatch.

What central Indiana does to skin

Skin is not treated in a vacuum. Three local conditions come up often enough that they shape how I plan a treatment here.

Hard water
Water through most of Johnson and Marion counties is mineral-heavy. It leaves a film that ordinary cleansing does not fully lift, and over months it shows up as tightness, dullness, and skin that reacts to products it used to tolerate. It is one of the first things I ask about when a routine stops working for no obvious reason.
Indiana winters
Cold outside and furnace heat inside is a barrier problem, not a dryness problem. Treating it as dryness — more scrubbing, stronger actives — usually makes it worse. Winter appointments lean toward repair and away from exfoliation.
Summer humidity and sun
Humid Julys here produce a specific kind of congestion along the jaw and hairline, and it often arrives alongside sun exposure that has already stressed the skin. Both change what is safe to do in a single appointment, which is why a July facial and a January facial should not look the same.

Common questions

The questions I hear most.

What makes a corrective facial different from a spa facial?

A spa facial is built around relaxation, and there is nothing wrong with that. A corrective facial is built around a diagnosis. It starts with an honest read on what your skin is actually doing right now — not what it did last year — and the products, exfoliation, and technique are chosen from there. You leave with a plan, not just a glow.

What is dermaplaning, and does it hurt?

Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade held at an angle to lift away dead surface cells and the fine vellus hair most people call peach fuzz. It does not hurt. Most clients describe it as a light scraping sensation, and many find it relaxing. There is no downtime — makeup goes on smoother immediately afterward, which is why it is popular before events.

At TLC it is usually paired with a full corrective facial as the Gold Star Dermaplane Facial Combo.

Will dermaplaning make my facial hair grow back thicker or darker?

No. This is the single most common worry, and it comes from a myth about shaving that has been around for a century. Dermaplaning removes vellus hair at the surface; it does nothing to the follicle beneath, which is what determines how thick or dark a hair is. It grows back exactly as it was. The blunt cut edge can feel slightly different for a few days, which is where the myth comes from.

What is Procell microchanneling?

Procell creates thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. That does two things at once: it prompts your body's own healing response, and it opens a path for professional growth-factor serums to reach the depth where they actually do something.

It can be directed at the face and neck for fine lines, acne scarring, pigmentation, enlarged pores, and texture; at the body for scars and stretch marks; or at the scalp to support fuller-looking hair. Downtime is minimal, and it works as a series rather than a single visit.

Can I have a facial if I use retinoids or prescription acne medication?

Yes, but tell me before we start. Retinoids, tretinoin, and prescription acne treatments thin the surface of the skin and raise sensitivity, so I adjust how much exfoliation I do and how strong the products are. Handled properly, a facial supports that medical treatment by keeping pores clear and calming inflammation. Handled without knowing, it can leave you raw. If you are working with a dermatologist, I work around their protocol.

My skin changed during perimenopause. Can anything be done?

Yes, and it is the part of this work I know best. Falling estrogen changes skin measurably — it holds less water, produces less oil, loses firmness faster, and often turns reactive or breaks out in ways it never did before. Routines that worked for years stop working, and it feels like the skin belongs to someone else.

The starting point is usually the Menopause Consultation: a focused sit-down to map what is actually happening and build a plan around it, rather than guessing product by product.

How often should I come in?

For general maintenance, every four to six weeks tracks with the skin's own turnover cycle. Corrective work aimed at a specific concern — scarring, pigmentation, texture — usually runs as a shorter series of closer-spaced visits, then settles into maintenance. We decide together at your first appointment; there is no package you have to commit to up front.

What happens at a first appointment?

Almost everyone starts with the My TLC Facial. We talk first — what your skin has been doing, what you have tried, what is frustrating you — and then I work. Every appointment is one-to-one, start to finish. You leave with clean, calm skin and a plan you understand, including what to do at home, which usually costs less than what you were doing before.

Why aren't prices listed on this site?

Because a price list on a website goes stale the moment anything changes, and there is nothing more frustrating than arriving expecting one number and hearing another. Current pricing and availability live on the booking page, which is always accurate.

I have never had a professional facial. Where should I start?

The My TLC Facial, without much question. It is the appointment where I get to know your skin rather than assume things about it — what you have been using, what has changed, what is actually bothering you — and the treatment is built around what I find that day. It also tells us both whether you would do better with regular facials or with something corrective. Starting anywhere else means guessing, and guessing on someone else's skin is how people end up irritated and discouraged.

What is the difference between the My TLC Facial and the Gold Star Dermaplane Facial?

The My TLC Facial is diagnostic and adjustable — it suits any skin type, including reactive skin, because I set the intensity as I go. The Gold Star Dermaplane Facial combines dermaplaning with a chemical peel, so it is two forms of exfoliation in one appointment, and it is meant for skin I already know. If I have not treated you before, I will ask you to start with the My TLC Facial. That is not caution for its own sake — I have no way to predict how your barrier responds until I have worked on it once.

What does it mean when a treatment is done as a series, and do I have to commit?

Procell works by prompting your own healing response, and that process is gradual — collagen does not remodel in an afternoon. In practice that means four to six appointments a few weeks apart, with improvement that accumulates rather than arriving all at once. You are not signing a contract and you can stop whenever you want. I am simply telling you the truth about what produces a result, because one session of a series treatment is mostly a preview.

I am noticing my hair thinning. Is Procell Hair Rejuvenation right for me?

It may be. It uses the same microchanneling on the scalp, along with professional serums, to support a healthier environment for the hair you have. It suits people noticing thinning or a change in density who want to be proactive, and like the skin version it works as a series, slowly. What I will not do is promise regrowth. Hair loss has many causes — thyroid, iron, medication, genetics — and if what I am seeing suggests a medical cause, I will say so and tell you to have it looked at.
